Welcome to Creedmoor

Getaway from the metropolitan

Early in its history, Creedmoor served as a railroad depot between the Raleigh & Gaston Railroads and the Clarksville & Oxford Railroads. At one time in the tobacco market, Creedmoor was considered larger than Durham. Farmers didn’t limit themselves only to tobacco however and grew cotton as a cash crop also.

After their tobacco era, Creedmoor became known as the “Mule Town”, bringing in around forty train car loads of them per year. At one point in their history, they were considered to be the largest mule trading center in the world and finally in the mid-fifties dropped the slogan “One of the Largest Retail Livestock Markets in North Carolina” from their official letterhead.

Today it is a great place to live for residents of all ages and has a healthy real estate market with plenty of Creedmoor homes for sale that you are bound to fall in love with. They have a thriving community and serve as a nice getaway from the surrounding metropolitan areas, and they do not sacrifice their amenities.
